NRMA Parks and Resorts acquires holiday park at Mulwala
NRMA Parks and Resorts has expanded its portfolio properties with the acquisition of the Lakeside Holiday Park at Mulwala on the boarder of New South Wales and Victoria.
The popular holiday park overlooking Lake Mulwala on the Murray River has been renamed NRMA Yarrawonga Mulwala Holiday Park.
NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies said NRMA Yarrawonga Mulwala Holiday Park is an important inclusion in its network of 30 properties because it can be either the first night or the last night on a scenic loop from Melbourne that takes in the Murray River, Echuca, the magnificent Grampians National Park and the Great Ocean Road.
“Our NRMA Members and guests now have access to six properties in a scenic loop-drive from Melbourne,” said Mr Davies.
“When people finish their Great Ocean Road drive at NRMA Portland Bay Holiday Park, they can veer inland to experience the grandeur of the Grampians at NRMA Halls Gap Holiday Park before visiting Echuca and then spending time at the border townships of Yarrawonga and Mulwala before returning to Melbourne,” he said.
According to the NRMA’s latest tourism report, regional tourism in Australia is heading towards being a $150 billion industry by 2030.
“Consumers tell us they’re looking for family holidays that don’t stretch the budget or involve expensive overseas travel – it can really be as simple as jumping into the car and discovering what our beautiful country has to offer in our own backyard,” said Mr Davies.
