Pet Policy FAQs

For guests who prefer to stay in a pet-free environment, the following NRMA parks do not allow pets: NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort, NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park, NRMA Lake Somerset Holiday Park, NRMA Myall Shores Holiday Park, NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park, and NRMA Port Campbell. These locations are ideal for guests with allergies or those seeking a pet-free stay.

Many of our parks welcome pets on designated pet-friendly sites and selected cabins, making it easier than ever to holiday with your furry family member.

Pet-friendly availability varies by park. When checking availability online, look for accommodation clearly marked as pet-friendly to make sure you’re booking the right option for you and your pet.

Our pet-friendly parks welcome dogs, cats, and birds in designated areas.

If you’re travelling with another type of pet, please contact us in advance so the park team can confirm what’s possible.

Yes. Pets are welcome year-round at participating parks, including peak holiday periods.

As designated pet-friendly spaces can be limited during busy times, we recommend booking early to secure the right option.

Pets stay free on all pet-friendly powered and unpowered sites, so there’s no extra charge to bring your pet when camping.

For pet-friendly cabins, a fee of $15 per pet, per night applies. This fee contributes to the additional cleaning required after your stay.

The cabin pet fee helps us maintain high cleanliness standards and ensure pet-friendly accommodation remains comfortable for all guests.

Yes. Booking a pet-friendly stay is simple.

You can add your pet during the online booking process, or book over the phone if you’d prefer help from our team.

Pet-friendly options are clearly labelled during the online booking process.

You can also filter your search results or contact our team for help selecting the right stay.

Not all accommodation is pet-friendly.

Each park has a selection of designated pet-friendly cabins or villas, and availability may be limited, so we recommend booking early.

Assistance animals are welcome at all NRMA properties, including those not designated as pet-friendly.

Please let our team know when booking and bring your valid documentation to show on arrival.

Find out more in our Assistance animals pet policy.

Assistance animals are not subject to pet fees.

If you book online, please contact the park after booking and the team will remove the cabin pet fee. If booking by phone, let us know at the time of booking.

To help keep things smooth for everyone, guests travelling with pets will need to complete a pet waiver before arrival.

If you’re unable to print it ahead of time, our team can assist you at check-in.

Yes. For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets must be:

        · Up to date with vaccinations and deworming

        · Free from fleas, worms, and parasites

Some parks allow more than one pet, depending on accommodation type and space.

Please contact the park directly to confirm what’s available for your booking.

We want everyone to enjoy their stay, pets included. A few simple guidelines apply:

        · Pets aren’t permitted in communal areas (reception, kitchens, pools, amenities blocks)

        · Pets must not be left unattended

        · Pets must be on a lead when moving around the park

        · Owners are asked to manage barking or disruptive behaviour

Pets remain the full responsibility of their owner at all times during the stay.

If a pet is causing disruption, our team will speak with you to help resolve the issue quickly.

In rare cases, guests may be asked to make alternative arrangements if behaviour continues or park rules aren’t followed.

We understand accidents can happen, and we simply ask that guests clean up after their pets where possible.

If additional cleaning or repairs are required, the park team will discuss this with you before any charges apply.

Please note: cabin linen and blankets are not to be used for pets.

Yes. In our pet-friendly cabins, we provide a pet bed and water bowl to help make your stay more comfortable.

For hygiene reasons, pets and pet items must not be washed in communal laundries or sinks.

Some parks offer designated pet wash facilities (charges may apply).

Pet access outside the park depends on local council regulations.

Our team can provide guidance on nearby pet-friendly beaches and walking areas during your stay.

If you arrive with a pet, the park team will do their best to relocate you to a pet-friendly space (subject to availability).

If no pet-friendly options are available, you may need to arrange alternative care for your pet.

Guests are responsible for keeping pets under control and ensuring they do not disturb wildlife or other animals.

Keeping pets on a lead helps everyone stay safe and comfortable.

For full details, please refer to our Pet Policy, Terms and Conditions, or contact your chosen park directly.

Pets stay free on sites, with pet-friendly cabins available for a small additional fee (from $15).
