NRMA Parks and Resorts have exclusively partnered with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy to bring your kids SHIPWRECKED, an action-packed 4-part survival and adventure program!

Based on the legendary adventures of Bear Grylls and operated by an elite team of survival experts, SHIPWRECKED aims to take kids out of their comfort zones with fun, challenging and interactive activities and obstacles surrounded by nature.

Not only will kids build on their confidence, self-esteem, and social skills – they’ll learn how to think like a true survivor, all while having a blast and making new friends!

Your missions

Take on four 60-minute survival missions, each operated by our team of survival experts. Each mission is completely supervised and aims to teach kids how to think like a true survivor, all while having fun and making new friends. Missions are run over weekends with more sessions during school holidays, with each mission costing $12.50pp for My NRMA Members and $25pp for non-members.

Bear Grylls Survival Academy is suitable for children aged 8 to 17 for single missions and aged 4+ for family missions.

Yes, adults can join in! The Family Mission is specifically designed for families to experience a segment of all four missions.

Prices from 1 July 2023: $12.50pp for My NRMA (adult or child) / $25pp for non-members (adult or child).

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Each mission will run for 60 minutes and guests are asked to arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to the activity start time.

No, each course is run individually, however we recommend completing all 4 to become recognised as a Bear Grylls Survival Academy survivor!

As this activity is performed in the outdoors, allergens must be considered by the parent or guardian. It is important that all participant allergies are communicated at the time of booking.

Please note: whilst every effort is made to cater to allergies and special requirements, some components of the mission cannot be changed.

Yes, each session will be operated and supervised by the mission Instructor. The parent or guardian is required to sign their child in and out of the activity. Should the child require assistance during the mission, the parent or guardian will be contacted to return to the Bear Grylls area.

Generally, groups are a maximum of 12 within each mission, with Family Missions hosting up to 20 participants.

Mission times are filled on a first in basis and fill fast especially during peak periods.

We strongly recommend booking places early to avoid disappointment.

Depending on the mission we will look to make alternative arrangements to run the mission as planned or reschedule to another time.

Yes. Refunds are available up to 3 hours before the start of the activity. Cancellation must be communicated to Reception and refunds will not be provided if the participant simply does not attend the activity.

Bear Grylls has designed these missions, however, will not be at the park. Training has however been provided to our Survival Instructors by the Bear Grylls Survival Academy.

Depending on the time of year, missions can be run daily or on weekends only. Fill out the inquiry form to find out when sessions are running during your stay.

All equipment will be supplied during the activities. Although, we ask that all participants arrive with a hat, enclosed footwear, drink bottle and a sense of adventure! Don’t forget to apply sunscreen prior to arrival.

No, all activities are run within the property.

Yes, the parent or guardian must sign their child (or children) in and out of the program.

Yes, you will be required to sign a waiver prior to the commencement of the activity.
