At NRMA Parks and Resorts, we believe that outdoor experiences are paramount to building a positive relationship with the environment and our natural habitat, helping shape physical and mental wellbeing.

That’s why we’ve have exclusively partnered with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, to bring your group Kids Vs. Wild, an outdoor survival and adventure program!

Kids Vs. Wild offers both a fun and educational experience through challenging and interactive activities set in nature. Led by a team of highly trained survival experts, participants will learn teamwork and self-discipline, as well as build on confidence and self-esteem. Not only will they have fun with their peers, but they will also gain the skills to survive in the wild – Bear Grylls style!

Our group reservations team will be able to tailor a group package to suit your style and budget.

Each mission will run for 60 minutes and guests are asked to arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to the activity start time.

Bear Grylls Survival Academy is suitable for children aged 8 years or older.

Yes, adults can join in!

No, each course is run individually, however we recommend completing all 4 to become recognised as a Bear Grylls Survival Academy survivor!

As this activity is performed in the outdoors, allergens must be considered for each child. It is important that all participant allergies are communicated at the time of booking.

Please note: whilst every effort is made to cater to allergies and special requirements, some components of the mission cannot be changed.

Yes, each session will be operated and supervised by the mission Instructor. NRMA Parks and Resorts recognises and acknowledges the importance of recruiting the right people to work with children.
As such, we have processes in place including policies and procedures to maintain compliance with Workplace Laws including Working with Children Laws, to ensure that all employees and contractors, who fall within the definition of Child Related Work hold a valid Working With Children Check. Depending on the mission we will look to make alternative arrangements to run the mission as planned or reschedule to another time.

Bear Grylls has designed these missions, however, will not be at the park. Training has however been provided to our Survival Instructors by the Bear Grylls Survival Academy.

The program runs year round, with missions being done on weekends outside of school holidays and every day during school holiday periods. Please refer to park websites for specifics on mission times. Programs are subject to change. Your Groups bookings manager will be able to work with you to select a suitable time within the Groups agenda.

All equipment will be supplied during the activities. Although, we ask that all participants arrive with a hat, enclosed footwear, drink bottle and a sense of adventure! Don’t forget to apply sunscreen prior to arrival.

No, all activities are run within the property.

Yes, the parent or guardian must sign their child (or children) in and out of the program.
