Where can I find the park map?
You can access our park map here.

What time is check-in/out?
Cabins: Check in 2pm and check out 10am – Guests are welcome to spend the day in the park until 6pm.
Unpowered sites: Check in from 8am and check out by 6pm.

Powered sites: Check in 11am and check out 10am – after which, you’re welcome to pull up in the unpowered grounds and spend the day until 6pm.

Is the park pet friendly?
For the comfort of all guests, unfortunately, we can’t accommodate pets in our park.

Can I arrive after hours?
We ask that you please contact us to let us know of your late arrival as soon as possible, we cannot accept arrivals after 8.30pm.

What are the reception hours?
Our friendly staff at reception are available:
Monday to Thursday – 8am to 6pm
Friday – 7:30am to 9pm
Saturday/School Holidays – 7:30am to 7:30pm
Sunday – 7:30am to 6pm

How long can I stay?
So that we can share the holiday fun with as many people as possible, we have a maximum stay capacity of 49 nights.

What’s your guide dog/companion pet procedure?
Registered Guide and Assistance Dogs are more than welcome. We just need you to supply relevant registration documents and ask that your animal always wears their official jacket. We unfortunately don’t allow companion dogs.


Is there free wifi?
All our holiday guests can enjoy 250MB of good, complimentary wifi per day per device.

Is there a pool onsite?
We don’t have a pool but we are located right on Somerset Dam and is a great spot for a swim.

What kids’ movie is on tonight?
We show movies under the stars at our outdoor cinema during school holidays. It is always a family movie and you can check with reception to see what is showing on a particular day.

Can we bring our own fire-pit/BBQ?
Yes, but please note that fires must be contained to a drum, brazier or similar and must be raised off the ground on legs with a tray placed underneath.

Fire containers are to be provided by the guest if they’re booked on a site. Under no circumstances are fires allowed on the ground or to be contained by bricks or rocks. Trees or parts of trees cannot be cut down for personal use. Firewood is available for purchase from reception.

We also have communal BBQs throughout the park that you’re welcome to use.

Do you allow day visitors/what is the cost?
Yes, we welcome day visitors.

To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful dam, a day access area to Lake Somerset Dam is available on the northern side of the park where the public can visit free of charge for the day and utilise the great lake. This day access area is equipped with a double lane boat ramp, swimming areas, BBQs and open seven days a week, from 6am to 6pm (September – April) and 6am to 5:30pm (May – August).  Visitors must be out by 6pm as the gate comes up and is locked.

Those staying within our holiday park still have access to this area with the addition of our own private boat ramp and facilities located within the park.

Guests visiting park guests are welcome at no charge. They just need to park in the visitor’s car park, call into the office and sign the COVID declaration form.

Are bikes and scooters allowed?
Yes, but we’re sticklers for safety so we ask that you make sure you wear a helmet and don’t ride around the amenities/camp kitchen or after dark.

Do you have a child-minding service?
We don’t have child-minding services, but our staff may be able to recommend some local babysitters.

Is there mini-golf at the park?
Yes, all campers get one free game per day. We ask for a $20 deposit or credit card as surety, which will be returned to you when you finish your game and return the equipment.

Can we request a cot/highchair?
We don’t provide cots or highchairs so please be sure to bring your own if you need these items.

How do I use the washing facilities?
Our laundry facilities are open from 7am – 9.30pm. The washing machine and dryers are coin operated at $4 per load.

Do you have any electric vehicle chargers?
Yes, we have two. The EV chargers located at NRMA Lake Somerset Holiday Park are exclusively available to guests staying in the Superior Lakeview Villa, Lakeview Villa and Log Cabin who can use them free of charge throughout their stay. Our EV chargers are compatible with full electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles that have Type 2 plugs. Other vehicles may require an adaptor, which you’ll need to provide if necessary.

How many cars can I bring?
Two car spaces are allocated for most sites/ accommodation. Please park your vehicle in this allotted position to keep roadways clear.


Are there trees on the site?
On the unpowered sites, there are trees throughout the grounds, but you can choose your own spot within the unpowered campground (free-form camping). We don’t have any big trees on the powered sites that would hinder people getting onto sites.

Is this site on a slope?
The powered Waterview sites are on a slope, but it won’t stop you from getting onto the site.

Is there room for me to have my boat/jet ski/trailer, etc.?
Boats are allowed on unpowered sites as they count as a second car.

Where is the tap located on the site?
Taps are located on the power boards at the back of sites.

What length of lead do I need?
It all depends on what site and what size your van is. It’s best to bring a longer lead, just to be sure.

What amp power lead do I need?
You’ll need a 15-amp lead.

What is in the camp kitchen?
Our camp kitchen is equipped with a toaster, microwave, urn with hot water, hot plates, a sink, fridge, BBQ’s and hang-down chargers for phones.  All you’ll need to bring is the food and utensils.

Can we put a tent on a caravan site?
Powered Waterview sites are bush campsites with power, water and sullage. Any accommodation type can go onto these, but we request one accommodation type per site.

Powered tent sites are bush campsites with power, water and sullage (sites 36, 37, 38 & 39 only have power/water). Any accommodation type can go onto these, but we request one accommodation type per site.

Powered caravan sites are matted sites with power, water and sullage. Sites F18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 are big sites – 10 x 15 m. All other powered sites are 10 x 10 m. On our powered caravan sites, you can only site caravans or motorhomes. We don’t allow tents, swags, camper trailers, rooftoppers, etc.

Can we bring a generator?
Yes, you can but it can only be used from 7.30am – 9.30 pm and must be kept at your site. For the comfort of all guests, we ask that you keep their use to a minimum where possible have them completely switched off no later than 9.30pm.


Is there room for me to have my boat/jet ski/trailer?
Each cabin is allocated one car space. If you have any additional equipment, you are free to use the parking overflow area or outside.

What amenities does my cabin have?
All our cabins are equipped to make your stay convenient and hassle-free. Our villas have a hairdryer, iron, a complimentary starter of dishwashing liquid and clothes washing detergent, tea, coffee and sugar. We do not have ovens in our accommodation, but we do have two small hot plates, a microwave, toaster and kettle.

Is linen supplied?
We have you covered with all the linen you need in your room.

Does the cabin have pots and pans, dishes and cutlery?
Our cabins are self-contained and have everything you need to prepare meals including crockery, glassware, pots and cutlery.

Does the cabin have Foxtel/DVD player?
We don’t have DVD players in our cabins. Only the powered caravan sites, 2-bedroom Villas & Log Cabins have Foxtel. – We don’t have Foxtel and if you are camping on powered /unpowered you will need a satellite to be able to watch free to air TV

Does the cabin have a bath/is the shower over the bath/step over lip for shower?
All cabins/villas have showers only and have a standard-sized lip to step into the shower.

What is your accessibility set up and amenities?
Villa 1 is our only accessible villa. We also have accessible bathrooms in some of our amenities blocks. These are locked and the guest just needs to ask for the key on check in and they can keep it for their whole stay.

Is your air conditioning reverse cycled?
Yes, our villas have reverse cycled air conditioning. The Log Cabin has no heating or cooling.

Can beds be split and in what accommodation?
Our beds can’t be split.
