Tuesday 26 May 2020: The NRMA has continued its holiday park portfolio expansion with the recent acquisition of Dubbo City Holiday Park located in the popular Western Plains region.

Situated in one of outback NSW’s most popular family holiday destinations, the renamed NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park has been brought under the stable of NRMA Parks and Resorts, just in time to welcome visitors after the NSW Government announced regional holidays would resume June 1.

NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park will be re-opening for guests on June 1 and has availability in cabins, caravan and camp-sites for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend. With many families eager to get away from home for the long weekend, many NRMA parks across the state have seen reservations come in rapidly.

NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park is ideal for families looking to explore the historic Dubbo region including the popular Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol and brand new Royal Flying Doctor Service Experience. An easy walk from the centre of town, NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park has a range of accommodation options for all budgets as well as a swimming pool, kids bouncing pillow and playground.

Accommodation options range from deluxe and budget cabins sleeping up to six people to powered and unpowered camping sites, some with ensuite options. Pet-lovers can now also bring their four-legged friends to NRMA Dubbo, with select cabins, caravan and camping sites available for families travelling with pets.

The acquisition of the park, previously known as Dubbo City Holiday Park, will bring the number of NRMA owned and managed parks and resorts to 49 across the country, with 32 NRMA branded.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO, Paul Davies, said NRMA Parks and Resorts was committed to providing safe accommodation options for families in the coming months.

“The country has done a tremendous job keeping COVID-19 isolated to a few small areas, so it’s time for families to rethink their holiday options,” said Mr Davies.

“Everyone is in need of a well-deserved break and we’re here to ensure that your next holiday is as safe and enjoyable as possible. Taking a road trip to a holiday park is the ideal way to escape right now, with plenty of outdoor space and a wide range of different accommodation options including self-contained cabins and ensuite caravan sites.

“It’s more important than ever we support regional communities like Dubbo who are really feeling the emptiness of visitors and they quite simply need us to visit so let’s get back on the road and help our beloved holiday destinations rebuild, together.”

NRMA Parks and Resorts have made changes to their operations to ensure the safety of guests and staff during this time. For updates on NRMA Parks and Resorts new arrangements, please visit https://www.nrmaparksandresorts.com.au/
