Tuesday 2020: The NRMA has today continued to expand its holiday park portfolio with the recent acquisition of Golden River Holiday Park in Mildura located on the banks of the beautiful Murray River.

Situated in one of regional Victoria’s most popular family holiday destinations, the renamed NRMA Mildura Holiday Park has been brought under the stable of NRMA Parks and Resorts, just in time to welcome visitors from regional Victoria after the state government announced restrictions for those not residing in Melbourne.

This will bring the number of NRMA owned and managed parks and resorts to 42 across the country, with 33 NRMA branded.

NRMA Mildura is ideal for families and travellers looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax watching the steamboats putter down the Murray River. Once state border restrictions ease, the park is ideally located to suit those travelling from Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney as a stopover or family friendly destination.

The park has a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets including family cabins and well as great pet friendly caravan and camping sites. With a heated pool, new splash park with waterslides and an air-conditioned indoor playground, NRMA Mildura is ideal for kids of all ages.

The Mildura region is known for its laid back lifestyle with houseboats dotted along the river complete with great fishing spots, access to internationally recognised national parks as well as restaurants keen to showcase local produce.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO, Paul Davies, said NRMA Parks and Resorts was committed to providing safe accommodation options for families in the coming months.

“We know Victoria has had a particularly tough time over the past few months, so we’re here to ensure their next holiday is as safe and enjoyable as possible,” said Mr Davies.

“For Victorians not currently under restrictions, taking a road trip to a holiday park is the ideal way to escape right now, with plenty of outdoor space and a wide range of different accommodation options including self-contained cabins and powered caravan sites.

“It’s more important than ever we support regional communities like Mildura who are really feeling the emptiness of visitors and they will need our support once we are all back on the road.”

NRMA Parks and Resorts have made changes to their operations to ensure the safety of guests and staff during this time. For updates on NRMA Parks and Resorts new arrangements, please visit https://www.nrmaparksandresorts.com.au/
