Whether you are a first timer, seasoned expert, downhill or cross-country skier or snowboarder, the Snowy Mountains offers winter action to suit every snow enthusiast and Jindabyne is the perfect base. Set between Thredbo and Perisher, Jindabyne allows you to choose between the long black runs of Thredbo or Perisher’s superpipe; a 95-metre-long, 16-metre-wide, one of a kind half pipe with walls greater than five metres high. We are also located just 15 minutes from the Ski Tube, which takes you straight to Perisher without needing chains or national park entry.
Being dressed for the cold is essential, so if you’re planning on hitting the slopes during your stay you’ll need the right kind of clothing and equipment. If you’re looking for snow gear you can either buy locally in Jindabyne or hire from one from one of the many ski hire shops.

Wild Brumbies Distillery
Located between Jindabyne and Thredbo, the distillery makes a wide range of sprits including award-winning schnapps and gin. Enjoy a tasting experience for those 18+, visit the café or simply wander through the lush grounds and sculpture garden.

Gaden Trout Hatchery
One of Australia’s main centres for breeding and rearing cold water sport fish. Enjoy the visitors centre and shop or partake in feeding the large fish that surface from the brood stock ponds. Tours are offered daily.
