Take out a boat, SUP board or kayak and explore the endless waterways of Wallis Lake from the park’s onsite launch spots. Grab a surfboard and head to one of the popular surf spots in town or explore the rock pools at Burgess Beach and Pebbly Beach. Otherwise, make the most of our permanently heated waterpark complete with waterslides, a splash zone, spa, and toddlers’ play area. We also have a 15m lap pool, reserved for adults only before noon.
Forster Tuncurry has no end of land and water-based fauna to encounter and admire. Look out for dolphins frolicking in the waves at One Mile Beach, stand on the Forster-Tuncurry bridge and try to spot the bullnose stingrays below, or head to Bennets Head between June and late October to spy the humpback highway. Just south of Forster is Bouti Bouti National Park, where you can come across goannas and if you’re lucky, a land mullet or water dragon. Birdwatchers will be delighted with the 210 species of birds living in the park and around the lake.
